What are your impressions of the boy?
My impression of the boy is that he is an insecure and shy person. He always “leans against the playground wall” .this proofs that he treats the wall as an emotional support which provides him with security. Also, he always stays back against the wall and “never plays”. This shows that he is always returning, desiring to join the other children, but at the same time too shy to do so. This shows that the boy is a shy and insecure person.
What is your impression of the children?
My impression of the children is that they are very mean and stubborn, not willing to step out of their comfort zone and take the initiative. They will always be “in slow huddled groups, low talking” whenever they walk pass the boy. From this, I can infer that they will always be in their own “familiar clique”, whispering, which could mean that they are most probably gossiping about the boy, instead of taking the initiative and making friends with the boy. This shows that they are very mean and also stubborn.
